Today I went to the post office, really a branch office, and I got there a little after 3pm. There were two women standing behind their windows, but each had a sign basically saying that their window was closed. So I asked them if they were opening back up and they said they were closed. I said, "oh you close at 3pm?" They said, "no, we close at 1pm on Wednesdays."
I walked away wishing I had said a few things like, "You must be joking...so, you just stand there for a couple of hours, even though you're closed?" This made no sense whatsoever. Why the heck would a post office close early on a Wednesday? That's some kind of job!
The other excitement for us is that they are actually playing the show "Heroes" here, but a week behind. But the fact that they're playing the same season as back home is great. So what you saw last week, we're now watching this week. Everything else that they show from the states is all past seasons. Not to mention shows that are similar. We have "Dancing with the Stars," they have "Strictly Come Dancing". We have "American Idol," they have "X Factor". Although, they have the same Supernanny - but for the families over here and Wife Swap. A lot of the same game shows too. But again, with something a bit different.
