We made it to our Thursday group and boy did I think I was in for a rough time. She was whiny, crying, needy, wanting to be picked up and that was all before it even started. Luckily, Madonna (Hannah's mom,) took her for a bit and got her to try and join in. We went to the park as usual after, but when Makenna was done, she was done. She started walking out of the park area and towards the car on her own. I had to go chasing after her and she of course, found it all very funny.
We then came back expecting to see grandma and grandpa Jones as they were arriving today. They didn't arrive until much later in the afternoon so I was able to put her down for a nap for a bit. Makenna was very excited most of the rest of the evening when she awoke to see them and did a lot of dancing, falling on the ground, playing her music toys and running around. Anytime they walked out of her sight, she'd start asking "baappa?" for grandpa or grandma.
They said they can see how she's changed, not to mention her wide vocabulary, even though they can't understand her. Heck, today, she was so excited, I couldn't understand her either. They got to see her go on the naughty step and her insatiable urge to change movies every 5 minutes. I told them wait until we go out on a sight-seeing trip and see how fun she really is (obviously a sarcastic tone is supposed to be taken here). Not sure if we'll get out anywhere too exciting tomorrow as they need to adjust to the time difference, but possibly a short trip around the area. They both have ancestors that came from this area that we live in so we might just go look for some gravestones.
