20Nov2008: Day 178: Oh DeeYa

Today's main comment from Makenna was "Oh DeeYa" (Oh Dear). It comes out with the English accent. I know she'll most like lose the accent when we move back, I wish she wouldn't because it sounds so cute. Oh Dear was one of the first things I heard Hannah say at church one day and I thought it was the cutest thing to hear. I'll have to try and get it on film so we always have it to remember.

We went back to downtown Chatham again with Hannah and family to get the things for the enrichment meeting next Wednesday. Luckily the pound store got more Christmas stockings in. As the girls were walking on High St. in Chatham, they met up with another little girl (don't know who she was,) and they all stood in a circle as if they were old friends catching up. Hannah and this little girl started dancing around. It was very entertaining to a lot of people who stopped and watched them.

The girls were pretty good and thankfully we didn't have a repeat of last Thursday evening. Although, Makenna is still sick and had a slight fever after her nap today. Which made for a very whiny, difficult night.

One month from today, we should be back in the states to celebrate the holidays and we're looking forward to seeing family and friends. Hopefully we'll be able to see everyone we hope to. It's going to be a crazy few days as we'll be rushing around to finish our shopping before Christmas and then shopping after to buy things to bring back with us. We're already making a list of things we need to bring back with us. Unfortunately, a mixer and crock-pot would look a little strange in a suitcase, I would think. They'd probably pull me aside as some new terrorist.
